For many people, treatment for a brain tumour is only the beginning. As follow-up appointments become less frequent, the long-term physical, cognitive, and emotional effects often remain, sometimes for years.
Living with this “new normal” can be challenging, isolating, and difficult to navigate alone.
The Beyond Recovery Project exists to support people affected by brain tumours beyond treatment, focusing on recovery, wellbeing, and connection.
We are a UK-based, not-for-profit community interest organisation providing health and wellbeing-centred support to the brain tumour community through inclusive, nature-based activities.
Our mission is to promote physical and mental wellbeing following brain tumour treatment by empowering individuals to overcome barriers to recovery – at their own pace.
We deliver walks, challenges, supported wellbeing programmes and counselling, shaped by the needs of the individuals and families we support. Funded through donations and sponsorship, we offer opportunities to reconnect with nature, rebuild confidence, and rediscover a sense of possibility.
At the heart of The Beyond Recovery Project is community. We bring together people on similar journeys to create a supportive, understanding space where experiences can be shared and challenges faced together.
